« Bonjour everyone. Last night was a difficult game to watch. I did not make the roster, which just made it even more frustrating for me personally to see us struggle like we did. We gave up two early goals and never recovered. The game just seemed to get away from us. It was not our best performance.
I do not, however, want to take anything away from Nantes. They are a much different team than they were when we saw them last. They have a new coach and a new mentality. The game was tight and physical. With the loss, we are dangerously close to the relegation zone, but in Ligue 1, not many points separate the middle of the table from the bottom of the table. A lot can change over the course of just a few weeks. We have to regroup this week in training and focus on the next game.
Personally, I am used to coming off the bench and having to fight for time. At DC United, I had to prove myself at a very young age. I did not always play and constantly battled to prove my ability on the field. At Benfica, it was no different. It is always difficult when you are not playing, but I am not discouraged. My chances will continue to come.
Right now, my focus is on helping the team earn three points next weekend by any means possible whether that means on the field on Saturday night or at La Turbie during the week. Allez Monaco ! »

« Bonjour ! Happy new year everyone ! I just got back to the Principality a week or so ago from a trip to the US for the holidays. It was great ! It is tough to be away from family and friends for so long. When I got home, my mom made my favorite meal for me, Jollof Rice. It is a Ghanaian dish with meat and spices, and it is amazing.
Tonight we played Juventus in a friendly match in Scicily. Ricardo gave me the start which really gave me a lot of confidence. Once I found out I was going to play, I couldn't wait until kickoff. The game couldn't come soon enough. With two prestigious sides, steeped in history like Monaco and Juventus facing off, it really was a special thing to be a part of. It was an honor. This was a big game for me, and I really think I was able to put in a good performance.
I had some good touches in the middle of the field and outwide on the left. I did my best to impose myself on the game. I was even able to earn a penalty in the first half that Leko stepped up and cooly slottled home to put us ahead.  We unfortunately gave up a late equalizer which we were not happy about especially after the problems we had closing out the game against Bordeaux; but, a lot of young guys showed amazing poise in the shootout, and luckily we pulled out the win. It was great start to 2009 for the club, and I am excited to start the second half of the year. Allez Monaco ! »

« Hi everyone ! This weekend was a big let down for the team especially considering our result against Sochaux. If we had won those two games heading into our match against Bordeaux before the break, we would have been in really great position. The team and feel like we should have played much better and deserved what we got. I do not want to take anything away from Valenciennes though. They played fantastic, and their goals were unbeleivable.
The injury to Park was a problem for us I think. He is an important part of our team tactically but also it term of our chemistry together. He was a big loss.
Personally, I was disapointed not to get into the game especially considering we were missing a striker, but in the end, it is the coach's decision. He has to do what he thinks is best for the team and last night that meant keeping me on the sideline. I never let myself get down and will just work even harder during training to earn more minutes.
We have one more game before the winter break. Bordeaux will be a tough test, but the red and white have a good record against difficult opposition this year. Two of our best games were against Lyon and Marseille.
We have all put in a huge effort over the past four months and the team and I are all in need of a little break. It will be great to see my family and freinds back in the United States. My best friend from when I was a kid is living with me here in the Principality. He plays for the Monaco third team.  We both have the same break so we are going to fly back together.
Wish us luck this weekend ! Allez Monaco ! »
